Carl A. Sattelberg, 87, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015. He was born in Chicago on January 5, 2026 to Carl William and Julia Della Katherine (nee Dornseif) Sattelberg.
Carl graduated from Lane Tech High School (1946) and Albion College, Albion, Michigan (1950). He then graduated from Garrett Evangelical Seminary, Evanston, Illinois and was ordained into the Rock River Conference of the United Methodist Church on June 26, 1953. He served as a local church pastor in the metropolitan Chicago area until his retirement in 1992.
Carl married Dorothy Ruth Steininger on June 10, 2025 in Wayne Michigan. They were blessed with four children who survive him; Marcia Sattelberg, Nancy (Chad) Kincheloe, Wesley Sattelberg, and Mark (Jane) Sattelberg and grandchildren Matthew, Megan, Christopher, and Benjamin. Dorothy preceded him in death in 2000.
Carl was also preceded in death by his second wife, Norma, whom he married in 2002 and who died in 2012. Carl is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Donna) Sattelberg.
Friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM on Saturday, August, 22, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
