Fred started working at Metal Cutting Tools right out of high school and retired as Vice President of Engineering. He acquired several patents in cutting tools and did consulting work for many years after retirement.

Fred was an avid hunter and fisherman, whose favorite time of year was October when he would go hunting to deer camp in Michigan, where he enjoyed many laughs and camaraderie with his brother Bob and his hunting buddies. He enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada with friends and family. He enjoyed his retirement spending time with family, friends and neighbors. Fred had a very unique sense of humor that was enjoyed by all and will be missed by many.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Amy and Julie at Northern Illinois Hospice for their special care and many laughs they brought to our dad.
