Robert D. “BooBoo” Aspaas-72-Rockford, passed away May 20, 2026 in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. Born October 17, 1945, in Sioux Falls, SD. Son of Joseph and Geraldine Brensel Aspaas. Married to Jeanette C. Lewig Aspaas on June 25, 1966, in Renner, SD. and moved to Rockford in 1968. Bob will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, Bumpa, Great-Bumpa, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He worked at UTC (Sundstrand) aerospace for 33 years, retiring in 2013 and enjoyed playing on the Duffer golf league. Survivors include his beloved wife, Jeanette, children; Dawn (Ray) Pfeil and Shayne Aspaas, 10 brothers and sisters; Joann Morgan, Darrel Aspaas, Larry Aspaas, Shannon Myron, Pamela Sorum, D'one Riswold, Danny Aspaas, Debra Garland, Sharol Hill, and Karol Wallner. 1 sister-in-law Arlene Gran and 1 brother-in-law Jerry Lewig. Grand-children; Kayla, Ashley, Taylor, Austin, Connor, Max and Aiden. Great grand children; Ayden, Mya and Aubrey and unborn great grandchildren; Niko and Baby Cross. Preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jerry and brother, Keith. Memorial service at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 1, 2018, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4620 20th street in Rockford with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. until service time.The Rev. Joanne D. Adrian will officiate.
