Betty Jane Scheidegger-80- Rockford, died at 7:44 A.M. Friday, July 31, 2009, at Swedish American Hospital. Born February 22, 1929, in Rockford, daughter of Carl A. and Geraldine Evelyn Bonner Gunderson. Married to Paul Owen Scheidegger in Rockford on April 3, 1948. He preceded her in death along with her parents. She formerly worked as a secretary at Amerock Corp. Graduate of East High School. Member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Survivors include her daughters, Jody (Gary) Banks of Edinburg, VA. and Sandra (Eric) Stephens of Miami, FL. and her son, Michael (Kim) Scheidegger of Machesney Park, IL. Grandchildren, Stephen Banks, Benjamin Stephens, Emily Stephens, Kasey Scheidegger and Sophie Scheidegger. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 5, 2025 in the upper sanctuary of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St., Rockford, IL. Pastor Lee Laaveg will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church. Burial at Willwood Burial Park. Memorials may be given in care of the family.
