Life Legacy
Roy E. Elbel-94- Rockford, died at 8:35 P.M. Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Willows Health Center in Rockford. Born August 12, 1917, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, son of Louis E. Elbel and Florence M. Frisbee Elbel. Roy was a mechanical Engineer and retired from Sundstrand Aviation in 1984. He graduated from Penn State University in 1941. Roy was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Society of Automotive Engineers. He is survived by his sister, Ruth J. Willert of Glendora, California and several nieces and nephews. Services at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 16, 2011, at Christ United Methodist Church, 4509 Highcrest Rd. Rockford, IL. Pastor Jane Eesley will officiate.
