Why have a funeral?
The purpose of a funeral can be to celebrate life and allow others to share your loss of a loved one.
Out of town death?
When a death occurs out of town/state and you want to make arrangements for a service in the Rockford area, you should always contact us first. We have partners all around the country that can assist us with the necessary arrangements to have the deceased brought back to the area. This can substantially reduce your cost by not involving a funeral service provider in the location where the death occurs. We will only add transportation charges to our bill unless there are special circumstances.
Burial out of town/state?
If the death occurs in the Rockford area and burial is planned out of town/state, we can make arrangements for transportation to the location of the burial. In many cases, if there is going to be a church service or direct burial, we can take care of the whole service with our own staff. Depending on the distance from Rockford. We have handled services as far away as Mississippi, Minnesota, Michigan, Arkansas, Iowa and Wisconsin. If we feel that we can help you by doing this, we will let you know.
We also will arrange for driven transportation by our own staff to the final destination if we think it can save you money by not having airline costs or receiving funeral home transportation charges.
Why cremate?
There is less cost to cremate, it may be a personal wish or perhaps there will be more than one burial per grave.
